When I first found myself there I was a bit apprehensive about being in one of Australia's most iconic spots, and I understand why. I'm not often surprised to see something like this and with one of the most beautiful, historic, yet secluded natural systems I've ever seen in my entire life, I'm just not going to be too thrilled. Luckily, despite my apprehensions, the tranquil ambiance of the reserve did keep me entertained. I was able to look out over some of the wildlife of the reserve that I rarely saw off on the mainland, such as Australia's first ever elephant calf, which is the result of a wild animal from the zoo.
